Wetherspoon's was found by a man called Tim Martin in 1979. He has taken the surname from a teacher at school who told him he would never amount to anything. The first pub, purchased from an entrepreneur who had converted it from bookies, opened in Colney Hatch Lane, Muswell Hill, north London, on the 9th of December. For the first month, it was called Martin’s Free House but was renamed Wetherspoons early in the 1980s.
With humble beginnings Martin has turned a dream into a reality, building an empire of nearly 900 stated properties all just starting from one idea. Wetherspoon is known for converting unconventional yet attractive premises into pubs, over the years it has been recognized that it is in Wetherspoon's passion to refurbish forgotten buildings into iconic, fresh, and proud spaces for our family and loved ones. Taking inspiration PS Contract Furniture Ltd is grateful for having each opportunity to work on projects given and completing each of the best possible standards.
