Wetherspoon's was found by a man called Tim Martin in 1979. He has taken the surname from a teacher at school who told him he would never amount to anything. The first pub, purchased from an entrepreneur who had converted it from a bookies, opened in Colney Hatch Lane, Muswell Hill, north London, on 9th of December. For the first month, it was called Martin’s Free House, but was renamed Wetherspoons early in 1980s.
With humble beginnings Martin has turned a dream into a reality, building an empire of nearly 900 stated properties all just starting from one idea. Wetherspoon is known for converting unconventional yet attractive premises into pubs, over the years is has been recognised that it is in Wetherspoons passion to refurbish forgotten buildings into iconic, fresh and proud spaces for our family and loved ones . Royal Nawaab’s Halal open-dining restaurants in Manchester & London have been serving one of the best food services since 2002. The founder Mahboob Hussain having a long history of successful Asian/Indian restaurants. After moving to the UK in 1969 at the age of 15, Mahboob Hussain worked up through the ranks starting from apprentice, to supervisor, to the General Manager in charge of over 1,400 members of staff.
After the company he worked decided to move to South Korea in 1985. Mahboob decided to follow his love for cooking. In 1987 he went into business with his two cousins, opening his first ever Nawaab restaurant in Bradford a year later. The restaurant was so popular it was awarded for its excellence in 1990, winning best restaurant of the year.Soon after that, Nawaab opened their first restaurant in Manchester. Nawaab was so popular that soon, branches were popping up everywhere: 5 restaurants were opened in Spain in an attempt to break into different markets. EachStep goal goes beyond on supporting people with dementia to live full and happy lives, where they are empowered to take part in meaningful activities that reflect their interests, personality and life history by staff who they have strong and lasting relationships with. To support this aim, the service employs a number of specialist staff, providing great family atmosphere.
The £5 million service includes extensive facilities to support activities for its users, including large dedicated activity and reminiscence areas; an accessible gym, library and cinema screen for leisure and recreation; as well as domestic kitchens and laundry facilities, so residents can continue to take part in household tasks, should they wish. It also features expansive gardens that have been planned to be comforting and accessible to people with dementia.
